Welcome to my author page! Here, you’ll find my attempt at something classical—the marriage of rhetoric, philosophy, poetry, and storytelling.

Modernly, these topics are separate and distinct; classically, they lived in harmony. The lawyer and statesman might also be a poetic storyteller whose legal work made him a better poet and better storyteller, and whose poetry and storytelling made him a better lawyer. Chaucer, anyone? Milton? Goethe?

And that’s not to mention the sheer logical and rhetorical brilliance of Shakespeare. Perhaps the most important book I’ve read for my legal practice was “Shakespeare’s Use of the Arts of Language,” a detailed analysis of his rhetoric. Few lawyers come anywhere close, and rhetoric is our job!

So, yes, I practice law, but I also write books, short stories, essays, and poetry on all sorts of things. I run a related YouTube Channel as well. Perhaps you think the lawyer-poet-storyteller is an odd concoction, but I hope you can now appreciate that this seemingly eclectic mixture could also be called “classical.”

Thus, whether you’re exploring my fantasy worlds or wrestling with the worldview questions in my more philosophical work, I hope my work will comfort, enlighten, and embolden you, as so many writers—especially the classical ones—have done for me.
